The library is an age old institution. The problem was that people still had an age-old view of what the library is today.
We had to change perceptions for a brand that provides a vital service to the country. The real long-term threat to libraries is the possibility of funding being cut should not enough people engage with the service.
To inspire a new generation of library goers and re connect an older generation, we created a campaign that compelled people to take a closer look at all of the great things the library has to offer.
The campaign created real change for an age old, and much loved, institution. Libraries Ireland achieved a 17% increase in memberships compared to the same period in the previous year, a 90% increase in online memberships and a massive 228% increase in visitors to the website during the campaign.
